I am a native Oregonian, and attended Willamette Law School in Salem. I have been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1985, and the Washington State Bar since 1988; my practice is limited to family law matters in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Family law can be complicated, and can result in significant changes and life transitions for all involved.  For the layman, trying to understand and deal with those issues can often be overwhelming and confusing.  It is therefore important to work with an experienced family law attorney; someone who can provide you with the information and support you need to make the right choices.  My legal assistant and I have worked as a team since 1990, and strive to achieve the best result possible for each client.

Since 2002, I have been working with a group of attorneys who have been trained in the Collaborative Law process.  This is a new aspect of divorce practice, where the parties and their attorneys work together towards a resolution of the issues before any court action is taken. Not every case can be resolved this way, nor is every person right for Collaborative Law, but it has been a useful and very effective alternative to litigation in a great many cases.

For more information about collaborative divorce, go to Page 2 for a link to my profile on the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals website.

My hourly rate is $280. I offer first-time clients a free 15-minute telephone consultation, and an in-office initial consultation (usually one to two hours) at a flat rate of $280. This enables you to meet me and my assistant, discuss the legal process, the relevant issues of your case, and the outcome we hope to achieve.
